Stipends For Students From Weaker Sections 
















Keeping in view the upliftment of weaker sections of society and to motivate them to pursue higher education, the Government of Haryana has decided to give incentive in the form of stipends for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Backward Class and the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.

Details of “Consolidated Stipend Scheme for SC students” are as under

Each student belonging to Schedule Castes shall be provided

1.        Rs. 1000 per month for routine expanses

2.        Rs. 2000 each session, for purchasing books

3.        Rs. 1000 per month to meet hostel expanses (only for those living in college hostel)

The first installment of Rs. 4,15,500, for distribution among 69  SC students of our college, has already been received and directly deposited into the Bank Accounts of eligible students especially opened for this purpose. Second installment of Rs. 2,77,500 will be disbursed shortly.

In addition to these stipends another scheme for SC students envisaged by the Haryana Govt. is called “Empowering the SC Students in Govt. Colleges of Haryana for employability in Information Technology”. Under this scheme free computers will be provided to SC students who get at least 40% marks in their graduation degree and score minimum 60% marks in a computer aptitude test conducted by HARTRON. Computer training for this course is also provided free of cost by the government
